Highrock Means Business

God's Heart for our Workplaces

We know our work matters, rest matters, and our faith matters. We know that they should intersect. But we don’t always know how they should intersect or what a healthy work-rest-faith rhythm looks like. A sudden job loss, a conflict at work, an unexpected career change, or a mundane 9-to-5 all can make us wonder, “Is this all there is?” Highrock Means Business is a community of professionals across vocations within the Highrock Network. We believe the Gospel has power to renew, re-vision, and reconnect us to God’s heart for our workplaces. In doing so, we believe our offices, classrooms, studios, hospitals, homes, and labs become sacred places that enliven us to discover “where our greatest passion meets the world's greatest need," as theologian Francis Buechner put it.

Inspiring Each Other to be Agents of Grace

We believe that each person is called and gifted by God, and as we are in community that calling comes to light.   We are inspired and equipped to face the unique challenges and opportunities in our workplaces, so that we can become agents of grace, justice, kindness, peace and positive change.  In doing so we follow God’s vision to:  “Seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it propers, you too will prosper.” (Jeremiah 29:7)

Within this community various groups based on industry, geography and gender gather to share stories of our faith in action in the workplace, connect with other Highrock professionals, and consider ways God is calling us to use our skills and/or positions to further His kingdom.
