This Pentecost, in addition to Highrock at Home, local Highrockers are invited to join their congregation for an outdoor in-person gathering!
Theology Lab is excited to announce that author M. Shawn Copeland will join our final Zoom gathering of the season. Professor Copeland is a distinguished professor in Theology who spent much of her career at Boston College. She will share with us about her recent book, Knowing Christ Crucified, which focuses on the meaning of the cross, discipleship, and African-American faith. In addition, we'll look at her popular essay, 'Through Many Sorrows' (a writing that has been re-printed many times over the years!), that reflects on a theology of suffering from the perspective of Black women.
If you haven't joined a discussion yet, this is a great time to jump in. Please RSVP to receive a PDF of the readings and to be sent the Zoom link for the discussion as the date gets closer. If you've already signed-up in the past, then you're all set.
Please note, the readings include one chapter from Knowing Christ Crucified. If you have the means to purchase Copeland's book please do so as a way to support the author.
